One year ago, man. Think he remembers us?
Karl opens his mouth. Remembers. Shuts it.
Are you kidding? Karlís probably whooping it up! I bet thereís bodacious cheerleaders in Heaven!
Youíre a sick man, man.
We ought to do something in his honor. One year.
Karl takes a step forward. But he stops himself again.
You remember, we were gonna steal a cow and put her on Mr. Adamsonís porch? Karl said cows can go up stairs, but they wonít go down?
He was a certifiable genius, brother Joe.
Certifiable, thatís for sure.
Frank crunches his empty can. He grabs another two cans of root beer, tosses one to Joe.
Karl is champing at the bit, barely holding himself back.
They open their cans. Frank cuts himself.
Ow! I cut myself! Dude!

You cut yourself! Howíd you do that?
Frank brings his hand up, bloody, into the light.
Karl fangs out. His jaw hinges down, two-inch fangs showing. Viper face. Thereís a nasty HISSING, too.
What was that?
Joe stares into the darknessó A terrifying glimpse of white fangs in the shadows.
Letís not find out!
They scramble into the Pickup Truck. It doesnít start. Karlís trembling worse, barely holding himself back.
Come on, come on, come on!
Karl whirls, and with a horrible cry, runs off into the blackness of the cemetery. The Pickup Truck finally starts, and roars off down the road.
