He shows Drew the picture of him with his football buddies.

KARL (contíd)

DREW

KARL

We were like blood brothers, manó

DREW

17 INT. CLASSROOM ó DAY 17

Malcolm jabs his finger on the photo of Karl.

MALCOLM

Of course I know him!

MARIAN HACKETT

And thatís why you felt confident enough to post to the newsgroup?

MALCOLM

He beat me up all through junior high!

The door flies open, and itís Dwight. Malcolm tries to sink into his desk.

DWIGHT

Agent Hackett, I can help your investigation! Iíve got a tapeó

Murdoch enters, grabs Dwightís shoulder.

MURDOCH

Dwight, please donít interrupt her.

MARIAN HACKETT

Itís okay, if itís important.

MURDOCH

Dwight?

Murdoch stumbles a little, falling against Dwight. Unnoticed, he pickpockets the tape out of Dwightís pocket.

DWIGHT

Iíve got a tape! (he pats his pockets) I swear I had a tape.

Murdoch slips another tape out of his jacket into Dwightís pocket. Dwight grabs it.

DWIGHT (contíd)

MURDOCH

Dwight, I really need you to get toner. Itís urgent, I need Maggie to copy something for me.

Dwight slams the tape onto Marianís desk.

DWIGHT

Iím not going to be stymied by you, sir, Iím serving the interests of justice!

MURDOCH

Wonderful. Will you go get toner now?

DWIGHT

Yes, sir.

Dwight heads out.

MARIAN HACKETT

Stymied?

MURDOCH

Iím sorry. (re Dwight) Hypoglycemia.

She nods. Murdoch nods to her and exits the classroom. Marian Hackett smiles at Malcolm.

MARIAN HACKETT

So. I bet youíre glad you got into this school, Malcolm. Smart kids, no bullies like Karl...

MALCOLM
